You don't get a collapsed rear suspension and that many paint chips without years of HARD play.

I had no concept of not destroying my toys until at least age 10. One time my friend and I spent an afternoon destroying a 1:12 model of an early-90s Jeep Grand Cherokee. We were fucking stupid.

Right there with you. I destroyed all but three of my 1:18 scale models (the victims I can still recall included Boxster, 550 Maranello, PT Cruiser (that one deserved it), 911 Carrera4, two Vipers, and a Corvette ZR1), and countless Hot Wheels died under the hammer or in the jaws of the vice grips.

VICE GRIPS. Fantastic, I thought I was the only one! I also used the hinge on my bedroom door, and now every time I go back home my mom reminds me that it still doesn't close properly. My biggest regret is a 1:18 model of a late-80s Toyota MasterAce.

This right here was actually one of my favorite tools for Hot Wheels destruction.

I'm actually a little proud of how we dispatched the PT Cruiser. It involved Estes rocket motors.

Sounds like a good time. My personal favorite involved a busted Ferrari F50 RC car that my uncles helped dispose of with gasoline and a squirt gun.

Suddenly my rocket motor tests don't sound nearly as dangerous

I was 8 and in the company of two adults, so it seemed fine to me. Seemed fine to them too until the gas started to eat through the plastic of the squirt gun.
